“Mystics have insights into the depth of truth untouched by their intellect. They have illuminations and revelations full of significance and importance, inarticulate though they may be.” (William James.)
Welcome to this website. You are here because you are curious and have questions. You may have stumbled here by accident, or have been searching for a site in an attempt to understand your own experiences or to understand how to pray or intercede at a deeper level.
We cannot promise to answer all your questions, nor do we pretend that we have all the answers, but we serve a God who can and does. We are all on a journey together, following our crucified and risen Lord, Jesus Christ. In this journey we hope and pray that we shall grow and learn together.
Our God given mission is to promote and teach what deeper prayer in intercession is, and to make contact with intercessors, wherever they may be, to encourage them and to help them in the roles they have been given by God.
Introduction by the Rev Jim Smith

A crucified intercessor is a pilgrim. Like all pilgrims, he or she is on a journey of discovery, but for him it is a journey in the spiritual world. He does not use his intellect, which just gets in the way, but uses his emotions to “see” and experience spiritual things. For the intercessor, spirit speaks to Spirit.
I have been involved in intercession for all of my life, although in the early years I thought it was just an extended form of prayer. Slowly as I matured, and especially as I began to read the classic intercessors of the Western and Eastern churches, I learnt the truth about the cost, the hardship and the burden. The Painful Grace environment was a tough and challenging place. I had not really appreciated the depth and the toughness before, although I don’t know why I did not grasp it. Deepest intercession is open to any who would accept the challenge.
